Campbeltown is a thriving, high amenity town. Campbeltown is popular with tourists and has a variety of hotels and restaurants. The town holds an annual regatta and music festival. Dunaskomel is thought to date from the mid 19th Century when it was built for local solicitor Mr McKelvie and his family. It is still
referred to locally as the Lawyers House to this day. Directions
From Glasgow travel westbound on the M8, leaving at junction 30 and crossing the Erskine Bridge. Proceed on the A82 towards Tarbet and then take the A83 at Tarbet through Inveraray and Lochgilphead to Campbeltown. On entering Campbeltown continue and turn left into High Street. Continue into High Askomil Road. Dunaskomel is located on the left hand side.
