Full Description

5 KILKERRAN PARK
KILKERRAN ROAD
CAMPBELTOWN

Occupying a superior position on the seaward side of Kilkerran Park this DETACHED LUXURY BUNGALOW boasts one of the most picturesque views of the loch out towards Davaar Island and across to the Isle of Arran.

In immaculate decorative order throughout the accommodation comprises, entrance vestibule, hall, elegant sitting room, spacious library, fully fitted kitchen with Britannia range, dining room, huge utility room with excellent storage space, master en-suite bedroom with adjoining shower room and dressing room plus three other bright airy bedrooms and a super family bathroom all of which benefit from electric heating and full double glazing.

The garden grounds are neat and very easily maintained being mostly laid to lawn and include a patio area at the rear from which to enjoy the glorious views.   There is also a sizeable detached garage situated in the tarmacadam driveway.

Campbeltown, which has a population of around 7000 people, was famous in days gone by for its part in the whisky industry and, at the present time, three distilleries are still in production.  The town has also retained its own fishing fleet and has a splendid natural harbour with separate mooring and pontoon facilities being available for local and visiting yachtsmen. About 2 miles out of town is the local airport which has twice daily flights to and from Glasgow with an in-flight time of   30 minutes.  There are also four coaches per day from Glasgow 137 miles away which can be reached by car in approximately 3 hours.   The newly operating ferry service from Ardrossan  is also proving to be a very popular and economical way to travel to this beautiful area of Kintyre.  The town offers a good range of amenities including two large supermarkets, cinema, hospital and both primary and secondary schooling.  Campbeltown Grammar School has an excellent musical tradition having both award winning school brass band and school pipe bands.   For the golfing enthusiast the renowned championship links at Machrihanish are only 6 miles to the west of town as is the recently opened Machrihanish Dunes Golf Course.

A truly splendid family home in an equally splendid situation the like of which is very rarely available.
